Equipment support to relief and response to Covid-19 (Corona virus) by BASE

The globe is suffering from the pandemic of Covid-19 corona virus. In order to minimize risks and spread of corona virus/Covid-19 pandemic Government of Nepal has also announced lockdown since more than a month. Therefore to cope and extend its humanitarian support to the government’s efforts in managing necessary equipment in Health Center Facilities as well as local government structures, BASE has provided sets of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Infrared Thermometer in its different working districts.

Based on the necessity and request from different sectors, BASE Regional Dialogue facilitated to hand this equipment to district and ward chiefs of Dang, Banke, Bardiya and Rukum districts. BASE had distributed 20 sets infrared thermometer and 10 sets PPE to ensure access of children and community people to health services from local authorities. This support has been provided to the authorities those have established and managed quarantine centers. We wish that our effort becomes helpful to receive proper treatment services for those affected by or suspected of Covid-19.
