International Women’s Day

Backward Society Education (BASE) with coordination to Maiti Nepal has celebrated 102nd International Women’s Day on 7th of March 2012 in Baijapur VDC at Janashakti Secondary School of Banke district. The celebration was supported by Find Your Feet (FYF) and ADRA Nepal. Mrs. Khima Bhandari, president of Women Empowerment was the chairperson and Mr. Keshar Bahadur Sejwal, VDC Secretary was the chief guest in the program. The program started with a rally by the members of self help group and literacy classes. About 350 participants were in the program from different women groups, self help groups, literacy classes, parents, teachers, social workers, political party representatives and civil societies.
